Had an excellent meal at Saltgrass on the seawall. Took less than 15 minutes to get from the restaurant to the box office.
Be careful on the stairs inside the theater - no handrails!

Parking is easy, with some lots near by as well as street parking after 6 or free a few blocks away all day.
M&M is a great place to go if you are driving down from Houston.
The Opera House is located a few blocks from great shops on the Strand and a block of art galleries and antiques shops, which were all open since it was Sat. night.
We parked in a lot right behind the Grand Opera House for $5. Really convenient.
