This area of Glendale can get crowded so arrive a little early to find parking behind the theatre or on the next block.

Lots of choices right across the street for dinner and drinks.
The weather was started warm then cooled off. I wore dress and heals. My husband wore a suit. My dad was in Khakis and a Hawaiian shirt. Dress up or down. Either seemed to be ok. .
Nearby are 3 parking lots where validated rates were reasonable .
Get there EARLY, seats go quick.

I wore casual clothing and be sure to bring a sweater because it is cool in the theater. If you sit in the balcony, wear comfortable shoes, maybe a low heel, because if you come down the stairs, there are limited railings to hold on to..
Park in structure across from Alex located behind the stores in front for $1 if theater visitor.

Alex Theatre lists several public parking lots in the area but there is plenty of street parking east of Brand Blvd. There is 2 hour parking until 6 and unlimited parking thereafter.

Validated parking is across the street, but the entrance for cars is the next street over (on Orange St). Get your ticket stamped inside of the Alex Theater lobby. $1 for 4 hours. Plenty of great eateries in the area.
Make sure you empty your bladder ahead of time. The movie shows right after the Q&A, and you don't want to miss anything.
If you're thinking about bringing something to sign it's 50/50, depending on if the special guest wants to or not.
