We took the bus from Lakewood Center. For only $7, the bus takes you to the bowl, drops you off at the entrance and takes you home when the concert is over. The only bad thing is, the bus took over an hour and half to get to the bowl and we were almost late.

Park and ride is the best option. Very easy, comfortable and cheap. I took the shuttle from Pasadena.

Definitely take the Hollywood Bowl shuttle. Leaves from various places and cost $7 round trip. The buses get priority, so it dropped us off right at the entrance then when we left, we were waived past traffic and placed right on the freeway.

Do your picnic outside the gates so you can drink your own booze. It will cost you $40 for a $4 bottle of wine.....

Parking is insane at The Bowl. Even if you arrive early, leaving is a nightmare. Take the Park & Ride shuttle and relax.

Pack a lovely picnic (some people even bring tablecloths and decor but tables may be a little tough to get. Ok to bring wine to regular events but to "Leased Events" so verify your event.

The weather was Wonderful. Warm to cool evening.. I wore Pants and a shortsleeved top. Make sure to wear flats...people forget the bowl is on a hillside. Walking up and down may be tiresome in heels..

Bathrooms for our bench seating were behind and to the left. The line gets long, but moves fast. It also helps if the men are aware that their bathroom is just beyond the women's so they don't have to wait in the same line with us. This happened, but once they were informed and left the women's line, the line went even faster. :)

We brought food, but we also had bench seating. It's doable, but just be conscious of the amount of space you are allotted, and that of your neigbors. There are benches and various other places on the way up where you can just park yourself to eat before getting to your seat, but you'll have to get there early.

If you've ever been to the Hwd Bowl, you know parking can be a challenge. If you can take a shuttle, do that. We drove. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough cash for the $20 parking fee (forgot about the cash), but there's an ATM not too too far. The parking attendants directed us to a parking spot for ATM users, then, once paid, we were directed to the parking space. Not too bad. Well, I wasn't the one that had to go to the ATM, so it wasn't too bad for me. :)

The weather was warm.. I wore comfy clothes, comfy shoes because it can be a trek. Plus, on this particular night, the escalators were closed..
