Suggest you arrive early. Pageant of the Masters is going on so traffic is difficult and lots get full.

Lumberyard is close and a good restaurant, so is Alyssa (Alessa?) and 230 Forest. You can't go wrong anywhere around there. There are snacks, beer, wine for purchase there.

Check to see if there are other events in the art district in Laguna Beach before buying tickets. We went during the winter Sawdust festival. Traffic and parking was insane.

$10 to park in the theater lot is worth it. Arrive early before it fills up.

Just around the corner from the Laguna Library on Laguna Avenue, 1/2 block north of PCH is Thai Brothers, one of the best Thai restaurants in OC, serving authentic Thai Cuisine. It's a "hole in the wall" sort of place, but I dare you to find better Chicken Satay, or Phad Thai noodles anywhere!

Nick's Cafe on PCH just across from the Laguna Beach Hotel has great American food, and their chopped salad is wonderful. (Worth ordering it as a meal)

Parking is free on the street north of the Pageant, during the off season, just half a block walk.
Allow sufficient travel time for Laguna Canyon Road.
We go to "happy hour" at the Lumberyard (and u can park there if u eat there.) The snacks are great. Then we drive to the parking lot directly across from the playhouse for free parking also ....... except for during the summer when EVERYTHING is a madhouse.

Small selection of drinks sold. We went to Las Brisas afterwards - great way to end an already great day.
