I wore Wear comfortable shoes. Bring your camera for photos of costumes worn..
We usually eat at Rock Bottom Brewery which is just couple blocks from the convention center. It's quality food and there usually isn't too long a wait. They offer pizza, burgers, sandwiches, salads.
PARKING - The cost for parking starts at $15.00 at the lots. BUT, no one was at the entrance to our parking, so we parked for FREE. I think the secret is going there around 4:30 PM like we did because the festival ends at 7:00 PM and they seem like they really didn't care who got into the festival.
There are a ton of food trucks right outside the doors and restaurants to eat across the street from the Long Beach Convention Center. Oh, and a Cinemark theater too.
Trying to find the Long Beach Convention entrance to the Midsummer Scream Halloween Festival was a total hassle. It took us literally an hour and a half after we parked to find to find the entrance. We walked all the way around the entire building. The people who worked at the convention didn't know where the festival was or that it was even going on and were NOT friendly or helpful at all. They should at least have a meeting to tell the staff what's going on and how to help to direct people to the entrance. There weren't any signs either, so be prepared to get lost if you don't park at the right garage, which I would tell you where that was, but obviously we didn't park there. LOL!! Oh, no one was at the entrance to check our tickets or our parking, so we could have technically get in for FREE. I think the secret is going there around 4:30 PM like we did because the festival ends at 7:00 PM and they seem like they really didn't care who got into the festival.
