Parking is not expensive, only $3. But judging from the remote location, this parking should be free instead.
The theater itself is great, but it's a little hike up the hill from the parking lot. anything else here. Just start typing...
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum
We had dinner at Lulu's Los Altos before the show, but you could conceivably picnic on the school grounds. There were some light concessions available, but no food or drink is allowed in the theater.
$3 for the lot, quarters or $1 bills
The weather was warm, so it was warm in the theater at first, but then quite comfortable.. I wore jeans.
If parking in Lots 2-3, you need to pay $3 and put voucher on your dash. Recommend using coins or a credit card. The machine was very fussy about taking dollar bills. Some had a problem with credit cards also. Shuttle will wait for you.
I parked in Lot #8, which is in front of the lower level, Lohmann Theatre. Then I took the elevators up to the level of the Smithwick Theatre. And, on your exit, it is an easier out and onto the freeway.
They are working on the parking lots, so the difficult trek up to the Smithwick theatre may take a bit more time. Plan for it.
Bring 3 one-dollar bills for the parking machine
The climb was invigorating.
No free water that we could find.
Park in lot 5 to avoid climbing the hill. Longer but easie
Wear confortable shoes! ... and parking is a bit@h!!
There are two flights of stairs to walk up!!!!
Wear comfortable shoes, there are about 4 sets of stairs up hill to the theater.
Bring 3 one dollar bills for parking - no big deal
But it would be nice to dress in particularly nice casual
We brought our own fruit snack
So enjoyable, didn't seem that long to me, worth every penny!
Love that they don't charge an arm and a leg for coffee/snacks/etc.
