3,205 Ahmanson Theatre Tips
Parking under the Music Center is crowded so plan an additional 15 - 20 minutes for parking.
Definitely a ride share/cab or pulbic transit situation. Parking is a nightmare.
Valet parking for disabled is offered upstairs for the same $9 as underground parking. VERY CONVENIENT.
We parked t the Disney Concert Hall for a flat fee of $9.00. It was a short walk. There was no intermission in the show the night I saw it, so make sure you use the bathroom before the 1 hour and 40 minute performance starts.
There is a reasonable taco place on the complex if you are on a budfet and want a warm meal but with all of the construction there aren't many places to sit!
If at all possible (time constraints etc.), use the Metro. Way easier than trying to navigate LA traffic, parking etc.
For casual dining, the Mexican restaurant on the patio was excellent. Good food and atmosphere
Eat at the Central Market then take the Angel Flight up the hill to the theater area.
Kendall's is always good. And, they make sure to get you out in time.
Ain’t Too Proud
I wore Jeans and a casual top.

We enjoyed dinner at Otium, next to Broad museum, after the show. 8:30 reservation time was perfect for 6:30 show.
The weather was cool; AC in theater. I wore jeans and long-sleeve T with pullover cardigan for warmth..
If able to walk, Metro Rail Red Line works well. Exit Civic Center and stroll (wheelchair accessible) through Grand Park uphill to Music Center. Music Center is under construction so alternate steps (elevator?) need to be taken up to plaza level.
Eat at Otium. Yummy!
The weather was overcast. I wore a sweater, because the air conditioning in the Ahmanson is always too cold in the mezzanine and balcony, no matter what the weather..
Don't wear perfume or aftershave when you go to the theater or out dining. DO NOT WEAR A SMELL because it smells.
If you arrive early, you can walk to the new Cathedral. The courtyard and interior of the church are gorgeous.
There is a Starbucks in Grand Park across the street from the Music Center.
