If you are fortunate enough to live near the 92 take the 92 bus because it literally lets you off right outside the theater and for a matinee, you're able to catch the bus right outside. Total cost: $4.50 for public transit, saved money possibly on parking, or Uber/Lyft. The garage can be a nightmare if you are the last person to get out of a show.

I'm not a vegan but the Asian vegan restaurant around the corner, Au Lac, is elegant and has wonderful food. We ate there after An Act of God and it was a revelation, even for this carnivore. I had the raw burrito: cultured beans, macadamia cheese, guacamole, heirloom tomatoes, lettuce, onion, sprouts with jalapeño puree. Light but satisfying. The charming and very zen chef anointed our wrists with a fragrant oil he concocted himself as we left. Great serve and an easy walk, at Hope and First.

Grand Central Market is just a short walk. Baby Blue BBQ is even closer with music at night.

$9 parking in the underground garage, but you can also take the Metro Red Line, which stops just a few blocks away.

We went to a matinee and bought lunch on the Plaza. Not inexpensive, but tasty and convenient.

Traffic on 101 getting there was HORRIBLE, it took us 2 1/2 hours bumper to bumper the whole way. Made mistake of merging on to 110 and got off at 4th. Next time we will stay on 101 and get off at Temple.

After 40 years, the theater allows drinks in the auditorium and people sneak in snacs either from outside or from the concessions. This is an exteremely base idea as cracking noises from food unwrapping are constant and annoying. If someone does this, tell them to stop or shut up! And phones off!

The weather was cold for California. I wore Matinees, everyone was dressed nicely--nothing too casual or sloppy..

I wore flats. There's always so much walking to the Music Center venues from just parking structure alone. I highly recommend wearing either flats or kitty heels..

Ate at the outdoor restaurant between the Ahmanson and the Music Center. Would recommend the portabella mushroom burger highly...it was delicious! Didn't even miss the meat! Definitely try it!

The weather was warm. I wore a dress. Please, people, even if it's been a hot day, shorts and a t-shirt are not appropriate. .

There are several places to eat at the Music Center. The Spotlight Café is a carry out with sandwiches, soup and salads. There are also two sit-down restaurants with good food.
