Totally casual. We parked in the Boyle Heights "city hall" lot on Friday and on the street on Sunday. Had dinner both times at El Tepeyac (Manuel's) on Evergreen. There is also a popular place across from the theater: Al & Bea's Burritos.
This is a great venue. It is small and therefore intimate. There is no bad seat in the house!
Wine and snacks were available for purchase at the theater. We ate before the show at Casa Fina. Order the seafood molcajete - delcious!
There is free parking next to the fwy a block away (that's where I parked) also street meter parking and others,
I recommend to purchase a show with dinner. The food from the restaurant was amazing.
The weather was slightly cold but the event takes place inside the building.. I wore light weight sweater, casual shirt & pants with slip on shoes..
Eat at La Fina (the restaurant associated with the theatre), but keep in mind the service is fairly slow.
There is a great little Mexican Restaurant just across the street! Cash only, it has been there for decades. It is a neighborhood favorite and was really great! AL and Bea's 2025 East 1st Street, Los Angeles
We parked in the neighborhood a couple blocks away.
Delicious Bean & Cheese burritos & other types of burritos about 1 block west called Al & Bea's...
Good restaurants around downtown L.A. only 10 minutes away and in the immediate area Serenata de Garibaldi and La Parilla are also great dining choices.
P.M.S. Goes to Work!
Do not bring children, this play is suited for mature audiences.
A Cat Named Mercy
