772 Geffen Playhouse - Gil Cates Theater Tips
Ate at CPK only blocks away.
Park at the nearby Trader Joe's. The theater validates (get the validation in the lobby at the desk). I can't recall how much the parking it is but it is much cheaper than any other lot!
Parking is available at 2 hour meters across the street or nearby. No fee after 8pm. There's also a $7 lot right by the theatre if you prefer.
We drove over to The W Hotel for an early lite dinner on the patio. Only a mile away. Perfect!
$7 underground garage parking with its driveway on Le Conte Ave between Westood Blvd and the playhouse (just west of the alley).
The weather was cool at nite. I wore light sweater for the courtyard in the evening.
Parking was only $4 at the Palazzo parking lot. Just ask for a validation ticket at the Geffen box office. Lots of places to eat in Westwood Village. The theatre patio is extremely pleasant and relaxing prior to the start of the play.
Ate a restaurant in Brentwood called Pizzicotto - Great neighborhood Italian restaurant

Parking: The free parking at the Westwood public structure (paid for by the Geffen) is a real hassle when everyone leaves at once. We pay $5.50 for a lot a block away from the theater and are home in bed by the time the last person straggles out of that slow garage line.
These Paper Bullets!
If you park in the public structure next to Trader Joes, the Geffen will validate.
Get there early and street parking is available. Otherwise, parking is a long walk around the block at Trader Joe's.
Geffen is a lovely, intimate venue, where every seat is a good one.
If you get there at 6:00, there is street parking (parking meter) which is a lot more reasonable than the parking lots.
or, add your own... If you arrive within 2 hours of 8:00 p.m. and are lucky enough to get an available parking space on the street at a meter it will cost you $2.00 ($1.00) per hour) which is very reasonable compared to parking lot expense.
If you are lucky, you may be able to park at the parking meters across the street. Free after 8pm, $0.25 each 15 minutes
