Best parking: Get there esrly and look for parking on the street.
They have a very nice staff and a great coffee bar with snacks, and a patio for lounging before the curtain. Very comfortable.
Parking at the Geffen will mean a walk about five minutes away from the theater.
There is a parking lot next to the theater, but the signage is not clear, and it is easy to miss if you go too far.
Parking is next door for only $7.00.

If you park in the Palazzo parking structure, be sure to pick up a validation pass from the box office staff or concierge as you enter the Geffen Theater. I forgot to do this & it wd have cost us $20 since we arrived before 6:00 pm. The parking attendant was kind enough to give us the $4 rate as the Geffen box office was already closed after the show. He said Geffen patrons get the $4 rate even if they park all day as long as they have the validation pass, so don't forget!!!

I recommend the Palomino in Westwood Village for dinner. Great food and possibly the best service in town. And my husband and I are picky!
There are many restaurants, both causal and formal within a few blocks of the theater.
Be careful in Westwood,as some of the meters go until midnight on weekends. The lots are pretty reasonable after 6 p.m.
We had dinner at Skylight Garden a good Italian restaurant five minute walk from theater.
I highly recommend Palomino. It's about 2-3 blocks from the theater and the food and service are excellent.

parking is difficult in the UCLA area, but one garage offers $4 parking for the Geffen.
Park in the parking lot west of the Geffen Playhouse for $7 parking. It's close and it's a fair price.
There are many affordable restaurants within a block or two to meet many different tastes.
We got there early, about 6:15 and there was parking at a meter across the street from the Geffen.
The weather was beautiful. I wore a suit. I think getting a bit dressed up for the theater makes a more festive and fun evening..
