we take the Red Line and walk from 7th and Figueroa station. Very easy and avoid all of the traffice and parking issues!
Avoid the freeway - took Jefferson to Figueroa - much easier!
We spent the $12.00 to go to the Grammy Museum which is in LA LIVE, opposite the Staples Center. It was worth going and takes about 90min plus to go thru. So we made a full time of our trip to down town.
We chose to eat at LA LIve before the show. It was a Saturday night and we arrived a little before six. There are many good eating places to choose from, a reservation may be wise. At six the eating places filled up with even lines. Arriving before six we were seated immediately.
We parked at LA LIve, a very easy walk to Staples Center. Parking a flat rate of $30.00
I wore Smart casual but comfortable clothes. However, anything goes..
Give yourself at least a half hour to get thru the security check
Try to enjoy the outside balcony for an amazing view!
Small lots on Figueroa make for easy exit
If you are willing to walk just a few blocks, the parking gets more reasonable. Come early and enjoy the Grammy museum first.
We went to the Grammy museum for a couple of hours and thus were able to park more easily close by.
We ate at Panini Cafe and it was very good and reasonably priced.
I took the train for the first time and it was SOOO easy and stress free!!
$30 to park in the Staple Center parking!
The weather was great. The show is on Ice.. I wore If you have kids take a light jacket for them. .
The weather was Chilly due to ice rink. I wore a sweater might be good to bring along.
The yard house restaurant in l.a..live has a very inexpensive happy hour for kids and adults. It goes on from 3pm-6pm, and a late happy hour from 10pm-close. GREAT food, and drinks if you go early or stay late after the game!
The weather was cool. I wore sneakers, jeans and brought a jacket..
Took the Metro Blue Line! Worked just fine!
We parked across the Convention Center for $10.00. The parking attendant showed us a shuttle (a block away) that provided "free" transportation to the Staples Center & back to the parking lot. :)
