About Buck Bradley's
Even knowing that Buck Bradley’s has the “largest bar east of the Mississippi” does not quite prepare you for the dizzying expanse of rose-colored granite and polished cherry that seems to stretch to infinity. Determined to replicate the look and feel of a vintage “saloon and eatery,” the restaurant’s owners searched out antique bars from three surrounding states before they found enough material to build this awesome homage to the 1890’s. But the record-breaking bar is just one (albeit amazing) detail of this Old World Third Street favorite. Ornate chandeliers, cream city bricks, tiled floors and — most importantly — bow-tied and sure-handed bartenders all contribute to Buck Bradley’s period-perfect charm, just as the big screen TVs and pool tables keep things lively.
