About Murrieta United Methodist Church
Its airy sanctuary, its soaring steeple, its open-rafter ceiling — Murrieta United Methodist Church does not lack attractive attributes. But, without doubt, its chief architectural feature is the large panorama of stained glass that dominates the wall behind the altar. Reminiscent of the masterworks of Louis Comfort Tiffany and John La Farge, four giant panel windows form a single stunning scene. Christ the Good Shepherd leads a flock of opalescent sheep through rolling, wooded hills as daffodils bloom and shafts of golden light streak down from heaven. A mural wrought entirely in glass, it infuses the entire space with color and drama.
