Dine before or after In the Village at Dantes - great outdoor seating.
I wore Very warm inside theater so bring something you can take off. + the seats are very cramping.
dress casual....walk thru washington square park nothing like it..old NY...as you walk thru get a great reasonable meal at Otto restaurant on W8st. just off of 5th ave...then go to cafe reggio about 50 ft away from theater before hand for a great Expresso or Capuccino.
A Christmas Carol
Get there early and make it a day.The Village is an adventure at every turn.Great location.
The theater is on MacDougal Street. There is no parking on this street and it is hard to find a spot. However, we parked in the garage around the corner.
The weather was windy, cool. I wore jeans, sweater.
The Other Mozart
The weather was Cold. I wore sweater and slacks with boots. Most people wore jeans.
Panchito's, just down the block, was pretty good, and reasonable.
As You Like It
Great cheap brunch at historic Caffe Reggio (which is practically next door) before & a drink at the long standing Fat Black Pussycat around the corner on W. 3rd St., which is also not really expensive.
Don't eat at the novelty Jeckyl and Hyde place; terrible service and food was burned
Tiny adorable New Orleans themed cafe diagonally across the street, very authentic cafe au lait and beignets, go and enjoy they are very nice! Also, do NOT miss La Lanterna down the street for dinner (try to get into greenhouse after sun goes down). All the rooms are nice but the greenhouse is magical! Extremely reasonable delicious food!
