Beer and wine are for sale but no food. The pier is steps from the Brookfield Place mall, so after the cruise I highly recommend enjoying the tapas at Amada, which is inside the mall and has an outdoor seating area. After that, grab Adirondack chair and small table in the large area right outside the mall, looking out on the water, put your feet up, and have a lemonade and then a snooze; you'll be ready for it. Wake up refreshed to walk through the Oculus, amazing $4 billion wonder that leads to another mall, subways, PATH train, and the Freedom Tower, where you can go up to the observatory; buy timed tickets in advance to catch the sunset followed by Manhattan gradually coming alive with lights. What a day (and night)!

Soft soled shoes, or feel free to go barefoot. It's a small group and the deck is very smooth.
