Rosa Mexicano is a classy Mexican restaurant that caters to the opera and symphony crowd. It is diagonally across the street just south from the David Koch Theater. Most other restaurants in the area cater to similar tastes, so if you want inexpensive food, eat in another area such as 9th or 10th Avenue and be prepared to walk a good distance back to Lincoln Center.

The 66th Street Stop on the 1 train is closest to Lincoln Center. Be at the downtown end of the train. When you get out of the station, walk down Broadway passing the glass and marble buildings of Lincoln Center until you come to the stairs going up to the main plaza between the three biggest auditoriums. Walk up the stairs and cross the plaza. After you pass your the big fountain, keep left and go between the corners of the David Koch Theater and the Metropolitan Opera House. Ahead of you is the section of Lincoln Center called Damrosch Park. There you will see the Big Apple Circus tent and ancillary structures. Look for the entrance signs and people posted there to help you. Then go in and enjoy the show.

The weather was Rainy and windy . I wore Layers. I wore a raincoat over a sweater and turtleneck with durable denim cargo pants. I brought a fold-up umbrella, several plastic bags to put my umbrella and outerwear in to prevent them from dripping on other people and my backpack to put those things in along with my bottled water. The circus tent and ancillary structures ended up being totally water and wind proof. Once inside one was barely aware of the storm raging outside. It was also warm enough in the tent that I was able to peel off my outer two layers, wrap them in plastic bags, stow them in my backpack and enjoy the show in just my turtleneck, pants and footwear..

Definitely the 1 train to Lincoln Center - if coming from the north ,stay at the head of the train, take the underground passage to Lincoln center for as far as you can - to avoid getting cold!

The weather was chilly. I wore although the tent is heated, it was nice to have my coat - also as padding for the seat!.
