Make sure you read all info and reviews on Goldstar before going. You've got to ensure that this is the type of event for you. In addition, a few days before the event, Goldstar graciously had all tickets at comp, so you can wait until then to get your tix if you didn't receive a comp discount initially.
Take public transit, but always check the train schedules. There was a subway shuttle running from Chambers street to the ferry and it was crowded. We ended up taking a $9 cab ride to the ferry and it was worth it because the shuttle was every 15 minutes...who wants to wait on a crowded line for so long??
The weather was sunny and extremely warm.. I wore a sleeveless mini dress and some light weight genie pants. The pants were not needed. Dress very cool so that you are comfortable. Casual!.
No chairs allowed, but you can bring a blanket for the sand.
Ferry is just NE of Staten Island Ferry terminal. Ferries run every 30 - 40 minutes.
Hard to park on street until 7pm, but some lots are cheap after 5.
I wore A casual setting..
Get there early. Very packed after 7.
