Get to MSG early - security is tight.
The weather was indoor event. I wore very casual .
All food & drinks @ MSG are super expensive.
The weather was Cool. I wore Jeans & a turtle neck. .
The weather was rainy, just park close or mass transport. I wore jeans and a sweater.
Food in the arena is far too expensive. Don't know if you can bring a picnic but check it out.

The stairwells are often a faster means of exiting from the 300/400 section (instead of walking down the stopped escalators)

The weather was cold. I wore everything I needed to stay warm. However, the less "stuff" you have the better as the 300 section has limited legroom.
Arrive early and go straight to the 100-level where many of the new food court items can be found. I had a Lobster and Shrimp Roll at LOBSTER AND SHRIMP ROLL BY AQUAGRILL
tickets were easy to get at will call and the seats were great.
