The weather was Low 70 which made inside nice also. I wore Short black skirt with a cutout sleeve blouse (didn't need a sweater inside) and flat shoes for the walk from parking lot B. .

Don't go if you have kids. Venue is not kid friendly. Read my review.

Must pay $6, not unreasonable at all. Lots of help, so getting to/in/out easy, despite an almost sold-out performance.

We went to a near by highly Yelp--reviewed spot--lots of good ethnic places close by, or would be nice to done there since setting is lovely.

Venue has great acoustics. Looks like a smaller version of Walt Disney Concert Hall. Has a charming pool around 1 or 2 sides of building. Go early for a drink or cocktail.

Understand - this isn't really Fats Waller's music. It's extreme experiments and interpretive jazz "versions" of Waller's compositions.

The seats at the Valley Performing Arts Center at CSUN were too long! I'm 5'3" and my feet didn't even touch the ground.
