Parking at the parking garage a block west of the park is inexpensive and convenient.
The weather was warm and dry.. I wore weather appropriate and comfortable clothing..
If you don't want to deal with the complexities of Downtown Oak Park parking, try parking on Forest Avenue north of Ontario, You'll have to enter from the north, but there are always spaces between Ontario and Chicago.
The weather was cold, but clear.. I wore a sweater, two sweatshirts and a blanket. .
Bring lawn chairs or a picnic blanket. Also a blanket or throw incase the temp drops
Pack a picnic or grab to go at one of the establishments nearby.
The weather was Sunny and cool. It got really cool an hour in. I wore Jeans a t-shirt and carried a sweatshirt which came in handy.
You can bring a picnic which we did, but next time I would order a pizza from Lou Malnatti's take out just down the alley way and bring it to enjoy at the park. Or go early and eat at any of the cute restaurants that are very nearby. Oak Park is beautiful.
The weather was cool but comfortable.. I wore pants and a summer top but did have my jacket for later in the evening.

There are lots of casual dining options on Lake St (one block S) in case you want to eat indoors before the show.
It's a good idea to get early and score seats up front. We thought we did, but then a couple decided to sit down right in front of us in packable chairs!
parking is expensive if you use the lot across the street & come early to picnic.
Failed to check the student price of the show on Oak Park Festival Theatre's website. Wound up paying MORE with Goldstar for a ticket and service fee than I would have if I'd bought the ticket at the gate. And since this is theater under the stars, there's no chance it would sell out.
Free street parking can be had northeast of the theater.
Sometimes there is street parking, but the lot across the street is easy ($4) and you don't have to wait in the pay line if you are paying by credit card - go directly to gate and use CC there.
This is a perfect picnic spot. Come early, get a good place up front and enjoy your goodies and wine.

Attend on Sunday evening and parking across the street in the parking garage is FREE!
