The weather was not enough shade so wear hats and sunscreen. I wore jeans, tank top, sandals and a hat.
Taste The World Festival
These tips are actually directed to the event planners/administrators, but I think attendees would benefit knowing about these pitfalls: 1. Let purchasers know about the $10 parking fee. 2. Let purchasers know about the additional $5 fee per food plate. 3. Allow people to purchase those food tickets prior to the event. 4. Provide the admission tickets via email at time of purchase, not 24 hours prior to the event. (I had to travel and was not able to access my tickets when I arrived.) 5. Provide a list, map, and menu of food options via email prior to the event so people can go directly to their first favorite option. (The hibachi truck had a nearly one hour wait).
Be aware of the $10. Parking fee. The wait in some lines was almost an hour. If you are bringing children the $5. item fee is the same, so be prepared to spend a lot....
