Surprised by cost and challenge of parking. If using ABM lot at 8th and B use INUGO app to pay online. Otherwise the line at the kiosk is looong!
If you go on Sunday nearby street parking within a couple of blocks is free.
$25 parking fee will reduce future symphony attendance.
Alicia in San Diego
Parking garage at 6th and A Street only $5 after 6pm. A short walking distance to the Symphony Hall.
Don't park at the Symphony Towers (same building as the Copley Symphony Hall). Even though their website says it's $20 there was only one machine to pay on exit, and it charged $30 and failed to provide a receipt. Because it was slow and confused everyone waiting for the receipt, it took a very long time to leave the parking garage.
Salute to Vienna New Year’s Concert
I wore A dress, heals, and a nice jacket .
The Rite of Spring
Found a parking lot nearby 1 block for $10
The weather was wndy. I wore casual pants and shirts with wind breaker.
Dine before you go. Drinks may be purchased - not unreasonable for a theatre. If you want a drink at the intermission, always order before the show then you do not have to Q as it's waiting for you as soon as you enter the bar.
Parking is always a consideration downtown SD. We chose to park at the venue so be prepared to pay - $20 at the venue.
The weather was irrelevent - it's indoors. I wore a dress - my partner wore a kilt. Gorgeous theatre, worth dressing up to feel special but no need to..
We are members at the University Club, so grabbed a quick dinner there before and availed ourselves of free valet parking!
The weather was Sunny and warm. I wore A dress and heeled sandals . Others wire Halloween costumes, though, which was GREAT!!.
Park at Palace Park for $5. Take your ticket with you to pay at the kiosk. Short walk to Symphony Hall
