We must warn, though, that Spreckels Theatre was build way before ADA. If you are mobility challenged, please try to get orchestra seats. There is no elevator, and the stairs to mezz. or balcony can be difficult.

Don't use the parking under the building. It gets VERY backed up. Instead use Horton plaza which is a block away and gives 3 hours of free validation from machines in the courtyard.

We went the The Grant Grill to park ($15) and had a light meal in the bar during their happy hour. It was a quick 2 block walk to the theatre from there, and the hotel was nicely decorated for the holidays!

Be aware that the theater is not set up for even mildly disables persons for any where except the orchestra seats. You must let Goldstar know in advance if you cannot climb stairs or if you have a problem with steeply pitched balconies. That said, they are very very accommodating when you do give them warning.

Be aware that parking in the Spreckles lot is by valet once you enter, so if you do not want to surrender your keys, park elsewhere. The valets are extremely good at quickly moving out the cars after the show.
