Colibri, directly across the street from the theater, is great for dinner before the show. Tasty tapas to share.
ACT's theater is grand but you would think they would up date the seat size and leg room. Buy standing tickets if your over six feet tall..

The actual theater (ACT) is at the corner of Geary and Mason. We used GPS from our phones and it kept taking us to the corporate offices.

I took a cab from my hotel to the venue. The cab drive said to go in front of the nearest hotel and have the bell man whistle for a cab.

The weather was Cool at night. I wore A formal outfit and heels. I like to dress up sometimes. This was a good occasion to put on my finest outfit. .

Mezzanine seating is less steep than Balcony. I sat in balcony once before and woke up the next day with neck pain - definitely not for me.

Jackson Filmore is a local trattoria, famous for their "Chicken G.O.V.", that stands for Chicken with Garlic, Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar. Once tasted, NEVER forgotten, one of the great Italian dishes in SF! Worth the wait and is a place we never fail to dine at when we're in town.

We were running late and didn't know if we'd have time to eat. Right next to the theater is a busy little cafe called Pinecrest. Because it was a Thursday night, we didn't have any trouble getting seated right away at 7 PM. My husband and I shared a chili hot dog with fries and chocolate malt which was plenty of food for the two of us. The service was quick and affable and the food was surprisingly good. Where in SF are you going to find dinner for under $20? We even had time to spare after the meal and walked around the neighborhood (although the panhandlers are quite aggressive and walk right up to you and ask for money. One woman was pleading and begging everyone who passed her which was particularly painful to hear)

Or, add your own...Lots of expensive restaurants around but the only good inexpensive one is the restaurant in Nordstrom.

We parked at the Union Street garage & it was easy. But, if I was going during the day, I would definitely take BART.
