If you call pretzels and beer food and drink. There are 2 Indian restaurants in the block.
Siam Thai is a great place around the corner on Ellis and Mason. Yum!
There are a few reasonably priced lots in the area, which is generally a good idea unless you get there early (before 6) because on-street parking can be tough to find when you get closer to dinner time and much of the area is known for car break-ins.
Take an uber (especially at night, it's not a good part of town).
The weather was n/a (indoors).. I wore jeans and a sweatshirt. .
You can get cheap drinks at the EXIT in their cafe.
The weather was foggy. I wore jeans and a sweater..
There's a lot across the street for $15, but there are also plenty of metered (but free in the evening) spaces available. Just like you would in any other neighborhood in the city, do not leave ~anything~ and I mean absolutely anything visible inside your vehicle.
Easiest to take BART. Area gets a little sketchy at night.
Neighborhood is a bit sketchy, but ok. So, keep your wits about you, will ya?!
If the bartender has time, get a soju martini. Very nice! :)
Food and drink many choices

Punjab Kebab House across the street serves tasty Indian food.
$6 parking at the Ellis-O'Farrell Garage:
Nice bar area with live music.
Wear a bikini because the theater is like a sauna.
A walk from Powell St. BART (but be vigilant as this is the Tenderloin)
Classy bar space with wine, beer, and snacks (but sadly, no cocktails)
