I wore A blazer with a t-shirt under and trousers. Though I saw people in just a t-shirt, cargo shorts, and flip flops. .
The weather was wonderfully warm for winter. I wore dressy jeans and a sweater set.
Take BART to Powell Street. The walk is about one block. There is a wonderful reasonably priced little Cafe right near there called the W with excellent food and ambiance.
The area is a bit rough at night so be advised to carefully sort out parking and directions so as not to be wandering around. BART is a really easy option to here
Khin Khao is a 6 minute walk away - the most authentic Thai food in the area!
I can't believe that the parking near the theater, sometimes charges $20 for Anastasia $41!!!
It's unfortunate that this beautiful theater is smack in the middle of so many homeless folks on the streets. You almost have to step over them to get to the theater, so sad....

There is a nice tea/chai little place across from the screaming people across the street. There was a happy street artist, a ballet dancer, and good people and one can see the theater from the outdoor seats. DavidChai I think it is called.

Park in the Mason/O'Ferrall garage. It's $10.00. Just show your ticket when you pay at the pay station.
