We packed sandwiches for the drive up. There aren't many places around Golden Gate Theater to eat and those that are there are packed.

Waystone is a great wine bar across the street on Market with a nice wine selection and small plates for easy dining.

The Golden Gate Theater is in a horrible district, full of drug addicts and homeless lying in the streets. But there were lots of policemen around when the production let out, which made theatergoers feel very safe! I hope this is a permanent occurrence,

For the Golden Gate theater, I recommend parking at the Fifth and Mission parking garage - it's a five minute walk to the theater, and you get to park your own car. It's also a massive parking structure, so there is always space.

The weather was Windy & chilly. I wore Slacks with sweater and a leather jacket as well as being along a shawl. I like to dress for the theater although I saw all manner of attire both evenings. I always bring a shawl; it's often cold in the theater at least for me. This show is consistently sold out which warms the theater up but be prepared. MPO dressing up shows respect for the entire process .

Suggest using a bathroom prior to the start of the show. At the break, run fast to get in front of the lines. (men and women)
