Bring a Map/GPSPhone to find the tour start and your car later on!
Park near Chinatown/North Beach near the end of the tour.
It ends in North Beach where there are tons of great eateries.
Dress in layers. It may be warm on one block and cold on another.
Take the California cable car - drops you right there
We stopped for dim sum which was fun
Idea- stop in Molinares or local cafe restaurant and continue the tour . Dim sum food not good.
You can park at Mason/O'Farrell for $13 and take cable cars
Bring your own water. Water at a hotel shop is expensive
This tour is fun, even in the rain. But do bring rain gear.
Have a note pad to jot down places you may want check out.
Consider taking the Stockton Bus back to Union Square...$2 a person.
Carry a bottle of water or soda to keep you hydrated. There are "rest" stops provided along the way.
The parking garages cost less closer to Sutter. $15 instead of $36
You may want to plan to go back to some of the interesting spots you saw the next day.
Have a parking plan and allow plenty of time to get to meeting spot.
Our group voted against a snack break, so we didn't get to stop even though some of us were hungry.
We elected to stop for beers and snacks along the way with guide!
Suggest taking the BART and then the Cable Car to meeting spot.
Make sure to check the weather before you arrive.
