Check out 54 Mint for a great dinner before the show. It’s an easy walk to the theater.
The show lasts 3 hours including intermission, so eat before unless you like to dine after 10:00 pm. If you do, there are many restaurants within walking distance. However, many of the better options close by 10:00 pm, so check hours first
The Civic Center station is only steps away from the theatre entrance and is serviced by MUNI and BART.

Travelled via BART TO Civic Center which is right next to the Orpheum. We then took a 1 1/2 block walk for Pizza and wine at Montesacra Pinseria Enoteca on Stevenson St; be sure to get there via 8th St off Market. Then 2 block walk to Westfield Center for coffee and dessert and an easy 3 block stroll back to Orpheum.

Sams American eatery is 1 1/2 blocks from theater. It is casual but the food is delicious. Blackened fish tacos or meatloaf cost around $14 each. Regular food prepared in a unique, delicious manner. Great chef.
Rocco‘s Café on Folsom is a good choice before the show. Awesome minestrone.
