There are at least six good restaurants two blocks up the hill from the stage! Parking by the restaurants is difficult. Either take the bus (22 and 10 stop there) or park near theater and hike up the hill

We usually drive from the East Bay. As we went to a special event at SFMOMA first (expensive parking), we took #10 bus from museum and #22 from theater (quite a hike 2 blocks after play uphill) to 16th St, BART. Once the apartments across from the theater are completed, parking will be a challenge, It's good news that the bus system is so close

We found quite a choice of restaurants two blocks up the hill on 18th. We had no problem finding street parking at the theatre. Temps were in the 80s outside. We brought jackets just in case and wished we had blankets, too, because the theater was so cold (but, I'd rather be cold than hot so will take more layers next time)

You can purchase wine and a few snacks. I was hunkering for more choice in food and drink.
