601 San Francisco Playhouse Tips
One of my favorite restaurants is Sanraku, not far away at Sutter and Taylor. It appeared to still be open after the Wed. show!
I drove from Oakland, in order to give my friend a ride home. I'm glad I left an hour and a quarter early. Traffic piled up at every point in the journey. Avoid it all, and take BART! However, a miraculous parking place opened up in a yellow space, just after I arrived (it was after 6).
Show up on time! It's a short enough show that late comers (and there were many) are distracting!
Lots of choices from Jack in the Box to Westfield mall from the Powell Street station.
BART or MUNI takes you to Powell Street. Then walk less than 6 blocks to the theatre.
Take muni. It near union square in a nice hotel.
Happy 1/2 hour-- discounts on drinks at the bar from one hour to one half hour before curtain.
Save money to buy boxing seat, they are not bad. Also, you might get a upgrade to floor seat!
The weather was cool and a bit breezy.. I wore a couple of layers. The dress is casual.
Go for happy hour to the White Horse or Morton's beforehand, then purchase a drink at the theater to take in with you.
