519 Shelton Theater Tips
Downstairs theatre gets hot and stuffy, so bring some water or purchase a beverage to drink inside the theatre.
As per the theater's recommendation, park in the Sutter/Stockton garage -- really cheap. We paid $2 for the 4 hours we were there.
Best to take public transit or walk. Be prepared for warm house as stage lights keep the audience warm.
The theater has a great little bar - cheap and the b artgender tghe night we went gave extremely generous wine pours. For food, we ate at the Bangkok cafe, a little slot restaurant on Powell up about a block and a half from BART. You may be the only non-Asians inside - a mark of good, authentic food. GREAT dinner for 2 was $16.86! Our favoritge SF restaurant!
The Powell street BART station is just 3 blocks away. Parking would be expensive and difficult.
The Grand Cafe is two blocks away. Food is superior and exotic and not pricey.
The weather was lightly breezy and clear night. I wore a sequined black jacket w/ black leather pants.

Parking at the Sutter Street garage is surprisingly inexpensive.
The entrance at the Shelton Theatre looks a little sketchy, don't worry, it's cool.
