429 The Marsh San Francisco MainStage Theater Tips
Street parking is virtually impossible but half a block away (between 21st and 22nd, Valencia and Mission (enter on 21st).
Surrounded by good food. Taquerrias, Indian, Spanish on Valencia and 22nd, etc etc
The weather was fine. I wore jeans, jacket. warm inside, can take it off..
I took BART in to 24th street from Oakland. Parked at West Oakland for free. Had a coffee at local place and got the best seat in the house by arriving early! Worth it. Theatre holds few. You feel like the artist is having conversation with you in your living room. (50 or so seats)
The weather was average. I wore a thin hoodie with a jacket that provides no additional warmth, and jeans. Scarf is recommended depending on night - it can get windy/foggy on Valencia now and then..
Eat at Lolos while you're in the Mission. The Tuna Tacon was terrific as an appetizer.
We enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Range down the street from the theater.
We ate at a really good Chinese restaurant on 22nd st. I forget the name, but it's a short walk from the Marsh and excellent food. Doesn't look like much but it was really good food.
Or, add your own...So many great places within walking distrance. My favorite is Foreign inema on Mission. It is walking distance.
Or, add your own...There is a lot on 21st short way down towards Mission. Street parking is a fantasy
Directions of the website for the Marsh Theater are terrible!
