The sailing trip is great! Bring cash is you want more than the included two drinks. And to tip the bartender, who provides excellent service.
We took BART to Embarcadero then just walked along the Embarcadero to get to Pier 39 - it's a nice 30 min along the water ... lots to do and see along the way + great eats too!
The weather was sunny, with wind & fog drifting in. I wore LAYERS!!! Sweater with scarf, sunglasses, light pants (zip off into shorts), running shoes..
Plenty of food available on Pier 39 and they handed out free drinks on the boat.
The weather was Cold and windy. I wore Pants, sweater, jacket, beanie, gloves.
Pier Market Restaurant was a 2 minute walk from Privateer dock and had great food. Reservations are best, or be prepared to wait.
The weather was Breezy and much cooler on the Bay. . I wore An insulated jacket. Wish I had a hat or scarf for my hair, but it would need to be secure for windy conditions. Rubber soled flat shoes recommended..

The weather was A bit chilly,. SF fog decide to show up, just to the top of the building skyline.. I wore Warm sox with flat shoes, thin thermal under jeans, warm sweater with windproof jacket lightweight beanie and gloves. I was so comfortable to enjoy the sail!.
Dine after at Pier 39. Enjoy the shopping and find a restaurant of your liking after leaving the sail.
I wore Wear good stable shoes, no caps or you may lose it. .

The boats are on the opposite side of the sea lions on Pier 39 near the end of the pier.
