Lake Cunningham Park

Lake Cunningham’s 50 acres of open water are not only home to great blue herons, snowy white egrets and the occasional pelican — the crystal waters (and surrounding shores) are also native grounds for bipedal fun-seekers of every stripe. Thanks to the numerous picnic areas, volleyball courts and horseshoe pits, a good time is always close at hand. Larger groups often seek out the Cypress Pavilion with its large covered patio, BBQ grills and stage. But no crowd is needed to enjoy the opportunities for hiking, biking, rollerblading and more meditative pursuits provided by this beloved San Jose park.
