the convention center parking lot still charges by the hour on weekday nights. it was about $10 parking for the show.
We went to the Spaghetti Factory and had an excellent dinner. Try their Sangria.

Parked in nearby garage & ate at Paolo's which appeared to cater to the "Book..." crowd - drop-in for dining
Parking in adjacent lot in complex with Paolo's restaurant. A nice walk over the bridge to the theater. Parking was $8.00.

The weather was warm, cooling after the show. I wore suit and tie, my date worn a jumpsuit with a fur jacket. the audience was a mixture of dress. From Suits and ties to blue jeans and the women from formal to jeans. .
go early to get parking, there is street parking and two lots nearby. we were lucky as the ticket machine was broken so we parked on the street 1 block away for free! if willing to walk, there is free parking on side streets further away.
Parking was $10 at the convention center, but it was very convenient. We entered the Convention Center garage by the enterence next to the Hilton.
Had dinner at Scott's Seafood before, then walked across the street to the show. Had drinks and snacks inside that you could take to your seat...great place!
The weather was pleasant, walk to dinner and walked back to theater. I wore slacks and long sleeve.
