If you ever get a chance to go to Levi Stadium. A must have to eat is at the BBQ spot. Pull Pork or Brisket sandwich is excellent.
eating and drinking at Levi's is ridiculously overpriced, so be sure to do that prior to any event there.
If you don't want the driving/parking/expense hassle, take public transit, but go early. I took BART to the Fremont station, then hopped on to the VTA 251 red special shuttle bus directly(short walk) to the Levi's stadium. Returning is exactly the opposite. Total round trip transit expense(senior) was about $10($8 BART, $2 VTA).
We used the I-880-Milpitas Park-and-Ride and took VTA - what a way to go!

There are many eating places around or near the stadium, so I would really recommend that to save money.
Light rail is the best way to get to the stadium. I parked in Downtown Mountain view caltrain station ($5) which is where the light rail leaves from. Takes about 30 minutes but they run extra trains before and after the game. They also did a great job selling tickets at a special table at the station and getting people on and off the train at the station and at the Lei's pick-up. Need $4 cash for round trip. I think Clipper card may also work..
Parked on the fairways of the adjacent golf course. It was pretty interesting finding your way back to your car at the end of the evening, as there was really no way to distinguish the rolling hills and valleys that make up the course in the dark! Passed plenty of other lost people wandering around looking for their cars. Oh, and did I mention that THEY CHARGE $30 for wander around the course lost!!! I could have booked a round of golf here for the same price!
