22 Leavenworth Tips
The weather was snowy and in the 30's.. I wore layers of sweaters and many clothes, boots with deep treads to grip the snow. On the Sleighride a hood was very helpful because snow fall off the trees showered us unpredictably..
The weather was very very cold.. I wore 2 layers and a heavy jacket. I also wore gloves, knitted hat and normal walking shoes. My feet were freezing and wished I wore fuzzy snow boots. .
The weather was freezing. I wore winter clothes. I suggest brnging a change of clothes, several pairs of socks, glove,& shoes. if bringing kids- the sleds-(snow pants if you want to stay warm and dry).
Driver supplies snacks and movies with their own
Everyone needs to go to Leavenworth at least once. It is a beautiful city with lots to see and do.
Since it trip started out early morning, we packed a thermos of hot tea and a couple sandwiches. Late in the day we ate at a wonderful restaurant called PAVZ (833 Front St. 1st floor). The food was delicious. Served hot and the waiter was very attentive. All in all it was a terrific experience.
The weather was nice with a bit of a chill to the air.. I wore a coat and closed, comfortable flats. .
Wear comfortable boots, you will be standing the majority of the time outside.
Take a rest room break when the opportunity presents itself
Bring a sled for kids to ride the hill in town
Rain maybe a problem, be prepared.
Eat as soon as you arrive as the town fills up so fast by noon
Be prepared to pay about $40 if parking at Seattle Center.
Gloves, scarf and a hat are essential!!!!
Dress in layers... it's really cold in winter when the sun isn't "out."
Have lunch early to avoid waiting around the noon hour.
Came by your van... parking at Seattle Center is costly -- $25/24 hours on Sat & Sun...
Nearly unlimited types of places to eat... all appeared to be good and nice.
Be prepared for long lines! Take advantage of the short lines prior to 12 pm.
We at at South, there were many different food options. The service was excellent as well.
