Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
From the outside, the theater (Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center) did not look like a theater. I passed it by initially. Only a small sign with the name of the show finally alerted me to the venue. Plenty of free parking was available in the Center's lot.
We went to Red's BBQ...not too far away ...for a very nice dinner experience.
We had a terffic dinner at the Market Broiler Restaurant (very low priced seafood in a great atmosphere--the Chicken Marsala was delicious! 1-2 miles from venue by the mall.
I was impressed with the concessions -- not overpriced. I enjoyed coming early and having a glass of wine in the lobby.
I wore a sweater, flip-flops, etc..
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
NOT FAMILIAR WITH SIMI VALLEY AND COULDN'T FIND THE RESTAURANT THAT WAS RECOMENDED. MY FAULT...I SHOULD HAVE LOOKED UP THE ADDRESS AND NOT LISTENED TO MY SON. HE SUGGESTED "THE HAT" FOR THE BEST PASTRAMI SANDWICH EVER. I GOT DISGUSTED AND WE GOT BACK ON THE FREEWAY AND CHOSE FRIDAY'S IN PORTER RANCH. IT WAS LOUSY AND WHEN I GOT HOME I WAS STILL HUNGRY; SO, I MADE MYSELF AN ICE CREAM SUNDAE.
Or, add your own... Red's on Cochran Street has the best BBQ. If going before the show, leave plenty of time. They are always crowded and there is usually a wait. Well worth it. If you see an afternoon show and get to Red's at around 5PM you will be seated immediately. By 6PM, the place is mobbed.
it was very warm in the theatre, I would suggest dressing light and casual
