If going during colder months, dress appropriately
If going in colder months, dress approprately.
If you park on the street allow a lot of extra time on the meter.
Brink snaks as well since the tour starts at 7 pm
The group will be sitting in the grass NEAR the statue, not right by it.
If you are nervous about dirt, carry a seat cushion with you; you sit on steps in various places.
Bring comfortable shoes since you will be walking about a mile and it is all outdoors.
Have dinner at Potenza's, park right across the street & walk from there to the tour -- easy!
Meeting place was a short distance to McPherson Sq metro stn.
The tour guide has a Lincoln picture that he holds up from time to time, to identify the group.
If necessary, hit a restroom before joining the tour. No pit stops available on the tour route.
If you book on-line, be sure to print and bring the confirmation page.
You don't have to sit on the grass--that's an option at the beginning of the tour.
Be sure you are with the right group, there were 2 that night
Wear comfortable shoes, as you will be standing for a large part of the tour.
Bring water
The Andrew Jackson Statue is the equestrian statue--that threw me off finding the start of the tour.
Expect to sit on the grass.
Take gloves when it is cool!
