266 International Spy Museum Tips
We took the redline Metro to Gallery/Chinatown. The Spy Museum was about a block away.
The museum had a cafe where the food looked alright but overpriced. Instead we went a block away to where there is a delicious brewery called Gordon Beirsch and is worth every penny!
If you bring a lunch, go across the street to the Smithsonian Art Museum which has a spacious atrium with many tables and chairs available. Food also may be purchased. Keep your Spy Museum tickets handy for reentering after your lunch.
I wore Wear lose, comfortable clothing and especially comfortable shoes. There are only a few places to rest during this 2 hour tour..
use the Parking Panda app to find the best deal on the nearest parking garage --- we found one right around the corner that was $10 cheaper than every other garage in the area).
International Spy Museum: The Permanent Exhibit
The weather was Hot. I wore Capris and T-Shirt - would not wear anything difficult to move around in if you plan on getting involved in activities..
Ramen at nearby Daikaya was a hit post-visit. Matchbox Pizza is another good, family-friendly spot not far from the museum.
The weather was Sunny with occasional showers, cool at night. I wore Shorts, tank top, and comfortable shoes.
There is a great burger restaurant right next door. Definitely check it out!

definitely get your tickets on Goldstar before you go. It saved us $7 per ticket (with fees)
Skip the assumed identity, and possibly the short film, go straight to the exhibitions
The weather was sunny, windy, etc.. I wore don't shop before or you'll have to carry your bags.
Visit on a weekday if at all possible.
Shake Shack next door featured a great burger, Chicago hot dog and ice cream. Spy Museum allows re entry on the same day, so it's easy to catch lunch and go back.
Take your own lunch, or buy from McD's and eat it at the Portrait Gallery atrium. Quite pleasant and nice scenery.
