Before you secure your tickets, check and see if the Washington Capitals are playing at home. If they are, use Parking Panda for parking and make advance reservations at a local restaurant.

Take Metro to Archives and walk up 7th St. This is easier than the confusion at Gallery Place.

We parked in the lot on D St., between 8th & 9th. A bit of a walk but cost only $7 when you show your Lansburgh ticket. This was much better than Parking Panda offered.

The weather was nice, sunny and warm. I wore casual slacks and a top but take a sweater or jacket, too. The theatre is chilly..

Cedar restaurant, a block away, has a great 3 course pre-theatre meal - and I was told it can be split, with dessert after the play, if the play ends early enough.

Too many of the parking garages around the theater close at 11:00 pm. It creates a lot of stress when the play is scheduled to run until 10:45.

Jaleo's is wonderful for outstanding tapas. The pre-theater menu offers more than enough for dinner before the show and the choices are excellent.

Light audience for this one; no beverage or food service but plenty in neighborhood
