I wore Many local restaurants in walking distance. .
The weather was Sunny and temps in the high 40's in January. I wore Casual dress (Sweater & Jeans) with comfortable walking shoes. .
Beware even though there is an elevator, there are no places to rest.
Close to the Gallery Place-Chinatown and Metro Center metro stops

We ate at the Potbelly about two blocks away
They do need more places to sit and rest.
I parked down near the courthouse area and it was free parking on Sunday
Ticket receipt gives you a 20% discount at the Portrait Gallery cafe
Take the METRO-One block from GRN Line
You actually need 2 hours or more to see everything; not just the CSI portion of the exhibit.
Parked in 2 hour parking across street. must refill meter if you want to eat.
Metro is still the best way
Arrive downtown early (9:30am) for good parking.
Crime Labs. are available on the weekend at an additional charge.....nice!
Lucked out on street parking - $2/hour so can't beat that...take lots of coins, just in case!
If you need to leave for food, get hand stamped first for readmittance.
No food or drink allowed in museum, so eat before or after.
We ate at Ruby Tuesdays located 2 blocks up across the street.
