About Rí Rá Irish Pub
If stepping inside Rí Rá Irish Pub feels like entering the Old Country, it’s because you are. Well, parts of the Old Country, at least, for the interiors of this Georgetown institution come straight from Ireland. The Victorian “gin-palace”-style bar and backbar originate from the legendary Gerry Nangles Pub in Dublin’s Summerhill neighborhood. And the restaurant’s theater area boasts meticulously restored paneling and columns from Dublin’s famed Theatre Royal. Additional paneling and cabinetry comes the Royal Bank of Ireland and a famed jewelers’ showroom. Thus Rí Rá can literally argue that the best of Ireland comes together (along with a truly epic whiskey collection) in this prime M Street location.
