We ate at Zaytinya on 9th and F street around the block from Sidney Harmon Hall and it was excellent and the service was prompt.
If time is tight, our favorite pre-show spot is the bar at Jaleo--drinks, bread with olive oil, three tapas, and on our way in less than 40 minutes!
Metro was miserable with a 20 minute delay enroute and on the return trip as well, with standing room only all the way home. And Metro's not cheap. A drag to have to go to DC for this type of thing. Prefer theatre in Maryland, but we have no Shakespearian venues.

Many restaurants in the area. Legal Seafoods is a great choice for fish.
Metro's Gallery Place station is less than a block away. If you want to drive, the theater's web site has guidance, including a lot a few blocks away with $7 parking with tickets.
