This area of the city has become popular enough that you can't count on being seated last minute (as we tried to do at Jaleo--an hour/45 wait!) There are plenty of pub-type places up 7th St. but all are a bit of a walk.
Turn your !@#$ cell phones off! I don't want to see it even light up.. This show is done without intermission and I don't want to be distracted a bit.
The weather was rainy.. I wore a long dress. Bring a wrap, the theater gets chilly..

It would be helpful if Goldstar could put the address of the event on the confirmation sheet. We accidentally went to the wrong Theater and missed the first 10 minutes of the show!

We were in the last row, center, but the theater is fairly small, so we were not too far from the stage.

Unlike other theatres, Goldstar seats for Shakespeare Theatre are usually far from the stage. I was a couple of rows from the back row of the mezzanine (in the middle). I could see the stage fine but next time I'd bring my binoculars for closeups.

The Harmon Center sells some sandwiches from Taylor Gourmet, a few doors down. For a better selection, just stop at Taylor instead before the show.
There is valet parking at a number restaurants nearby for $10. We ended up parking in a ramp at 8th and E
We ran into traffic on Friday night so didn't make our dinner reservation. Arrived at Hillcountry Barbeque just down the street about 45 minutes before showtime and had plenty of time to eat and make the show.
heads up - SpotHero shows Atlantic parking garage at 901 E St at $10 for the evening....they are charging $15.
Metered parking is available 2 blocks from the theater around the triangle by Indiana and E Street. Spots are usually available if you arrive in the area around 6:00.
Daikaya Isakaya is a block and a half from the theater, takes reservations, and wasn't terribly crowded. They also have happy hour specials that are available at tables, as well as the bar.
I wore a sleeveless dress, but was glad I had a wrap with me, as the theater was a bit cool..
Fiola offers a very nice pre-theatre menu, as well as a bar/happy hour menu, a few blocks from Harman Hall.
