28 Streets of Washington D.C. Tips
Likely a good excursion for kids (ages 5-12 maybe?), but lacking challenge or historical significance for adults beyond passing amusement.
we stayed near the Crystal City stop and would stop at the Whole Foods and get food from the Hot/Cold food bars for dinner. This is the Foggy Bottom stop. Whole Foods is just across the street when coming up out of Metro

The weather was sunny & humid & the museums tend to run cold because of the weather and the many number of tourists in and out. I wore a sweater and comfy walking shoes.
The weather was hot and humid. I wore shorts and a tee but wished I had worn pants for one of the spy activities..
It is outdoor!!
Interactive experiences are better for kids....museum is overwhelming!
Go early to avoid crowds
Food and water can be bought along the way.
We found great parking near the Courtyard on the same street.
Do the tour first! Spend the rest of the day in the museum!

We found a parking meter, but should have allowed more than 2 hours.
The more people that do this, the more fun it'll be.
If you plan on doing the tour and the museum on the same day, you can spend a whole day there.
You can use one GPS device provided for a small group and save money
Hotels are close by so it is easy to walk to museum
