28 Streets of Washington D.C. Tips
Likely a good excursion for kids (ages 5-12 maybe?), but lacking challenge or historical significance for adults beyond passing amusement.
we stayed near the Crystal City stop and would stop at the Whole Foods and get food from the Hot/Cold food bars for dinner. This is the Foggy Bottom stop. Whole Foods is just across the street when coming up out of Metro
The weather was sunny & humid & the museums tend to run cold because of the weather and the many number of tourists in and out. I wore a sweater and comfy walking shoes.
The weather was hot and humid. I wore shorts and a tee but wished I had worn pants for one of the spy activities..
Interactive experiences are better for kids....museum is overwhelming!
Do the tour first to avoid heat, and then spend the rest of the day in the museum
We found a parking meter, but should have allowed more than 2 hours.
If you plan on doing the tour and the museum on the same day, you can spend a whole day there.
You can use one GPS device provided for a small group and save money
