487 The Kennedy Center - Concert Hall Tips
We arrived late at 7:03 and were immediately seated. Tip: Arrive late!
Except one glass of wine costs the same as a bottle of wine at Total Wines
Parking in the Kennedy Center costs $20, but we believe it's worth it anyway.
We took the metro to Foggy Bottom and then the Kennedy Bus to the Center - not a problem at all.
Not many options - there are movie-esq snacks available. I would not plan to eat there.
I don't think outfits played any role other than those worn by the high school interns on stage
I loved the fact that most people were dressed up for the event. That made it all the more special!
Definitely dress casual -- leave your coats, jackets in the car
Show starte at 7; seating at 6:30. We had to stand around for 20 mins (no seats in waiting area).
Dress nicely but floor-length gowns and tuxedo's were not necessary
We went the night of the gala so there was alot of black tie/gowns. Even so, it's the KC...dress!
Go upstairs for a quick pre-consert meal
