Take a jacket, it's colder on the water. We used the Smithsonian station metro stop and walked to the marina, but you may want to consider a taxi.
We just ate after. They do have snacks on board
Parking is available at the nearby underground parking garage
The weather was Overcast but no rain. I wore Shorts, cotton top and slippers.
Plan to arrive much earlier than 15 minutes mandated by the cruise. Parking is scarce. Traffic is terrible (one lane of Maine avenue was being used for parking even though it is a "no parking" zone. Took 45 min to go 1/2 mile to a parking garage.
Find a place to park on the roadside as the wharf parking garage is +25
Take metro to "Waterfront," then walk 1 mile west along Maine Ave. No parking.
The weather was Windy. I wore Sandals, Bahama shorts and a short sleeve blouse.
